Easy Fish Sandwich

First make sure that your fish is clean, pat it dry before dipping it into the flour. In 1 bowl add flour and seasonings of your choice, in a second bowl add flour, seasonings and beer, I used Modelo for my choice of beer.

Pour your cooking oil in a pot and make sure that the oil is hot before frying your fish, also make sure that there is enough oil in the pot to cover the fish when it’s frying. I test how hot my oil by sprinkling a little flour in the pot to see if it sizzles, if it does then it’s hot enough. Dip your fish in the wet batter first and then into the fry batter, make sure to coat it evenly. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until it’s golden brown. You’ll also know it’s done when the oil slows down and stop frying as fast. Once it’s done set the fish on a wire rack or paper towels to drain the grease and cool off. Put your sandwich together and enjoy.

Ingredients:

Cod

2 cups of flour, 1 cup for each bowl

2 tablespoons of seasonings of your choice for each bowl

1/2 cup of beer to start with, you may need to add more for the wet batter.

Brioche buns

Cheese

Tarter sauce
