Pineapple Ciroc Wings
Updated: Mar 12, 2021
When I first made these wings; I free styled the recipe- mixing, not measuring and hoping that this idea that I had would be everything that I imagined. To my surprise these wings turned out to be the bomb and luckily before I cleaned up my mess; I made sure to have a list of the ingredients that I used because I knew that I had to share this recipe with you all. Asides from making these and getting the correct measurements; there was only 1 thing that I needed to tweek before sharing. On top of that Football Sunday is back... and who doesn't like wings while watching Football? Ok lets get into it.
First thing! Clean your chicken, I soak mine in cold water and vinegar for about 10 minutes, drain them and give them another good rinse. Make sure you dry your wings with paper towels thoroughly we want our seasonings to stick to the wings.
Season your wings with the dry seasonings along with the baking powder, please make sure its aluminum free baking powder- I used the Rumford brand.
You can either put them in the air fryer, I like mine crunchy so I put them on for 25 minutes on 400, flip them and cook them again for another 5 minutes on 400- depending on how you like your wings and the type of air fryer you have you will most likely have to adjust your time and temperature to your liking.
For the oven, on a baking sheet line it with parchment paper, lightly spray it with spray butter i.e Pam. Line the wings on the parchment paper making sure they are not touching each other. Cook your wings for 15-20 minutes on 400, take them out and flip them, put them back into the oven-do this about 3-4 times until they are cooked to your liking.
In a pot bring the sauce ingredients to a boil, mixing well, then turn the heat on medium to a low rolling boil. Boil for 10-15 minutes, until the preserve starts to loosen/break up.
Put your cooked wings in a bowl and carefully pour the sauce over them making sure to coat each wing thoroughly. To be fancy, serve them in a pineapple with the insides cut out.
